Late notice, I know...

But the first supermoon of the year—and the Harvest moon–is Monday, Oct. 6 AND the weather forecast—clear skies and warmish temps—are perfect for little moon-gazing.

If you'd like to seer the super Harvest moon come join me at Heritage Park on Capitol Lake at 6:15 p.m. I'll be at the little hill at the north end of the park nearest the Fifth Ave SW bridge (I've dropped a pin on the map). Moonrise is at 6:21 p.m. and the moon should be visible 5-15 minutes later (there are buildings in the way).

After a little moon viewing we can adjourn to the Olympia Oyster House for a beverage and cup of clam chowder (or whatever rocks your boat) and conversation.

I recommend a nice fleece or light puffy for those coming. It is fall, after all!

Please do not RSVP unless you are sure you are coming. Also, if there are no RSVPs by 5 p.m. I'll cancel the event.
