FULL - Mindfulness Wed Night - Tai Chi Yang Style 24 forms + Meditation

Details

Dear new and old friends,

Yeah!!! Our well-loved Taichi meetup event is finally back!

We are excited to share with you that we have a new program design for this coming Spring! We are aiming at helping our members to master the completed set of Taichi easily. In each session, we are going to learn only 4 moves. For those who are committed to this learning journey, you will be able to complete all 24 forms within two months!

Once you master all moves, we will continue meeting once a week and practice them in our Mindfulness Wed Night! It'll be so relaxing and fun, good for both your body and soul!

We are going to teach the most popular style of Taichi, called The Yang style. Relaxed in the slow, soft, and smooth flow of movements, you will be guided to focus at every moment, to let go of all worries, and enjoy
the joyful and peaceful states of mindfulness. It will be followed by a guided meditation.

May I introduce to you our instructor, Kitty Jeong. She has 25 years of practicing Taichi and 15 years of teaching in California, US. She mastered both 108, 42 and 24 forms Yang styles Taichi, and other forms of meditative martial art practices, including Wudand Zhaobao Taichi, The Baduanjin qigong, Tai Chi Sword, Tai Chi fan and more. She enjoyed sharing her passion of Taichi practice with community members and love to share her joyful spirit with new friends from all age groups.

We will meet at the Buddha's Light Center Waterloo located at 9 Eglin St. Waterloo. We have our own parking lot here. If it is full, you can use another parking lot of ours at 79 Regina St N, Waterloo (these two parking lots are connected).

To make sure that everyone can join without worrying about financial conditions, we host it as a free event. But we do welcome donation of any amount, if you are willing to support our ongoing commitment to promote community members' mental and spiritual wellbeing. We very much appreciate your generosity and support.

Please wear comfortable lose-fitted clothing and a pair of soft and flexible indoor shoes. We will enjoy a cup of tea, chat and making new friends at the end of each session.

We are looking forward to seeing you all!

With Metta,
Cindy Choi, Volunteer at WBLC
