Finding The Living God

Details

During this session, Skip will speak for about an hour using remarkable photographs and videos of several of his personal religious experiences, only a few of which have occurred in a sanctuary. Numinous experiences of this kind have been at the origins of all of the world's faith traditions. The purpose is to sensitize members of the audience to recognize these experiences in their own lives. During the Q & A session, members of the audience will be asked to talk about their own experiences.

Skip Conover is not a theologian nor a psychologist, and will not be proselytizing any specific faith tradition. There is no charge for this event but a "Love Offering" will be offered for Unity by the Bay and ACT Annapolis.

In 1886, Friedrich Nietzsche declared that "God is dead." In the next generation, Dr. Carl G. Jung, the Swiss Psychiatrist, found The Living God, where S/He lives and how S/He goes about doing the work of the Godhead.

Skip has been conducting an independent study of Dr. Jung's work since 1987, and this talk is based on his personal experiences with what Dr. Jung found including his empirical clinical experiences.

Since June of 2016, Skip has operated the Carl Jung Depth Psychology Reading Group channel on YouTube, and has now posted over 1,000 videos on that site. That work can be found here: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCWqv_8eLqnb4bxTV44QwvrQ/
