🌿 Let's Find Our WOW in Nature! — Ross Prairie Fall Hike
Details
Ready to get outside, move our bodies, breathe some fresh air, and enjoy a little Florida nature? 🌿🥾
Let's kick off the fall season with a Finding Wow Gals adventure at Ross Prairie Trailhead!
We'll spend some time walking the trails, enjoying the changing scenery, and seeing what wildlife we can spot along the way. Ross Prairie is a unique area where wet prairie, oak hammocks, and sandhill habitats come together, creating a great environment for wildlife and bird watching. When the prairie has water, waterfowl and wading birds can be spotted, and the area is also home to deer, wild turkey, gopher tortoises and other wildlife.
The Holly Hammock Trail is approximately 2.3 miles, with portions through shady oak hammock and other natural Florida habitats. This isn't about speed or how far you can go. It's about getting outside, getting some exercise, enjoying nature, and meeting other women who are ready to get out and do something!
