MEET NEW FRIENDS A NEW WAY! This Saturday Connections is at the request of non-retired members that aren't able to come to our weekday one. So if you are signed up for the May 7 Connections or were able to come to a previous weekday one please don't sign up for this one.

CONNECTIONS is an opportunity to meet new friends and foster somewhat deeper relationships by Getting To Know Your “Neighbor” better. We will meet at the Elks Club Honolulu, sit at a table, order drinks/pupus if you’d like, and the Host/Facilitator will pose a generic question and then go around the table for each participant to respond. You will learn as time goes on more about your new friends. Connections allows for greater sharing around the table in a respectful, kind environment rather just having the opportunity to talk to one or two people sitting next to you during a lunch/dinner event.

NON-MEMBERS of the Elks Club will need to bring CASH if they wish to order beverages/food as non-members are not allowed to pay with a card. Plan for 25% above the menu price, the Elks always adds a 18% mandatory tip and sales tax is 4.5%. If we round up to 25% that gives the waitstaff a bit extra.

STRICT TIME REQUIREMENTS: START TIME 2:30 PM, END TIME 4:00 PM.
THE HOST WILL MEET YOU IN THE CLUB LOBBY AND ENTER YOUR FIRST NAME INTO THE GUEST BOOK. It may take some time to find parking on Saturday so please allow enough time.

This type of event, although new to Hawaii, has proved to be very successful elsewhere in that participants have found others with common interests and have developed long lasting friendships.

Parking: Non-Members are not allowed to park in the parking lot unless you buy a one day parking pass from the front desk which is not available on the weekends. There is Street Parking along Kapiolani Park by the Club. The parking meters accept credit cards and I think the rate is still 50 cents per hour.

At each meet up we would love to accept contributions towards the yearly meet up fee. Currently we still need $48 towards the $314 fee (includes tax). If you would like to contribute something please give it to the event host.
