This months book club choice is:
“Nightingale” by Kristin Hannah

**This historical fiction novel, is presented through the eyes of a heroic women during WWII, in German occupied France. This is my favorite read this year! It evoked many different strong emotions and made me very anxious for the characters. I highly recommended reading “Nightingale”, by Kristin Hannah.- June H.
……..

“With courage, grace, and powerful insight, bestselling author Kristin Hannah captures the epic panorama of World War II and illuminates an intimate part of history seldom seen: the women's war. The Nightingale tells the stories of two sisters, separated by years and experience, by ideals, passion and circumstance, each embarking on her own dangerous path toward survival, love, and freedom in German-occupied, war-torn France—a heartbreakingly beautiful novel that celebrates the resilience of the human spirit and the durability of women. It is a novel for everyone, a novel for a lifetime. Nightingale left me with. It brought suspense and made me anxious for characters.

What was also beautiful and somber was how Nightingale and her lover ended. When Nightingale passed away, I got the chills upon reading how her legacy carried on through his new family and although depressing for the child in me wanting a happy ending, it was the perfect ending doused in enchanting realism.”
