"Connections": Conversation and BYO Dinner in the Park

Details

CONNECTIONS is an opportunity to meet new friends and foster somewhat deeper relationships by Getting To Know Your “Neighbor” better. We will meet at Magic Island Peninsula Park, Honolulu, and sit in the shade, with our BYO drinks/dinner if you’d like. I (Host/Facilitator) will pose a generic fun conversation starters/questions, and each participant will have the opportunity to respond. You will learn as time goes on more about your new friends. Connections allows for greater sharing around in a respectful, kind environment rather just having the opportunity to talk to one or two people sitting next to you during a lunch/dinner event.

Afterwards we can take a walk and enjoy the sunset together, continuing our conversations.

* Bring a chair or something to sit on and BYO dinner.
*Directly after the parking lot I will find a shaded area TBD, near the beginning of the grassy central area, to be easily seen from the entrance of the paved area. (This will be near where we usually begin our walks)

We will have regular Connections MeetUps starting with space for 12 or more participants.

This type of event, although new to Hawaii, has proved to be very successful elsewhere in that participants have found others with common interests and have developed long lasting friendships.

Date: Wednesday 9/3/25
Time: 5:00 to 6:30 PM
Location: Magic Island Park
