You are invited to attend family day at the 'Iolani Palace.
Many of you have met Myrna Kamae at some of our FFFPF events, as she is one of our members. Come out and join her in celebrating her life long journey as a filmmaker and wife of the Hawaiian musician Eddie Kamae.
Her foundation, "The Hawaiian Legacy Foundation", is releasing the Hawaiian language version of the Eddie Kamae Songbook: A Musical Journey.
Eddie Kamae, a famous musician, and wife Myrna, were film makers dedicated to preserving the voices and values of Hawaii's Kūpuna through music and film. The release of Puke Mele continues their life's work of sharing Hawaiian knowledge and song with future generations.
The events include:

The screening of the documentary "The Sons Hawaii", a rare public performance by Eddie Kamae's Sons of Hawaii
*10:30-11:30 - Coronation Bandstand
Musical performance featuring Analu Aina, Mike Ka'awa, Ocean Kaowilli and Paul Kim with hula by Aurora Ka'awa
*1:00-2:00 - Barracks video room.
Learn about the creation of "Puke Male 'O Eddie Kamae" and the exploration into Queen Lili'uokalani's composition Ku'u Pua i Paoakalani.
