This is the second in a four-part vegan dine-out series across Honolulu, so if you can’t make it, no worries, more invites coming, stay tuned!

MENU: Wood fired sourdough crust, house-made vegan cheeses and pepperoni/sausage, creamy Cesar salad… basically the best plant powered Italian in Honolulu! The menu is small and focused (think Neapolitan pies, a legendary giant meatball, one salad, a couple of calzones) but the chef rotates in delicious daily surprises. Peek the menu link found on their “About Us” page: https://www.floraliahawaii.com/ or drool over the photos on their Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/floraliapizza

SETTING: This longtime open air spot showcases their pizza oven, and now they’ve added an indoor full bar and cozy booths. Casual, lively, and perfect for good conversation.

HAPPY HOUR: This is a recent addition not mentioned on the website, from 4:30-6:00p, with drink specials and the ONLY time they sell slices (until they run out). Slices go fast, so if you want the happy‑hour deal, arrive on time (or a little early, I will be there by 5:20p) and stake your claim. (But even if you can’t arrive until after 6p, come join, you can always bring home leftovers!)

SEATING: No reservations for this cute place so this meetup will be relaxed with high cap on attendees. There’s a big picnic‑style table in the open air that fits 6 comfortably (8 if we get snug), plus other outside tables and indoor booths seats 4. I’ll get there early to stalk our picnic table and organize seating once I see who shows. No one eats solo — promise.

BILL PAYMENT: There’s a host at the entrance who can handle orders/payments. Best flow if you want to avoid dividing the check: once you're ready to order, walk up, order and pay immediately (like placing a to‑go), then they’ll bring your food to your table. If the bar is quieter, you can order/pay there instead. Quick and easy and no having to pull out the calculator.

PARKING: There’s ample parking along Kona Street. You will see stalls alongside a white building, that say “reserved” but after 5pm the restaurant says they’re okay for customers. If for some reason Kona St. is full, there’s cheap paid parking off Kamakee (scan the Diamond Park QR to avoid tickets), or the big free Whole Foods Kaka'ako lot is an easy 5‑minute walk. I usually find Kona Street spots, but these are back‑up just in case.

See you there, bring your appetite, your curiosity, and an easygoing vibe. This one’s all about great pizza, good drinks, and even better company.

P.S. This is part of a vegan restaurant dineout series, so if you can’t make tonight we’ll have more, keep an eye out for the next one.
