MEET NEW FRIENDS A NEW WAY:

CONNECTIONS is an opportunity to meet new friends and foster somewhat deeper relationships by Getting To Know Your “Neighbor” better. We will meet at the Elks Club Honolulu, sit at a table, order drinks/pupus if you’d like, and the Host/Facilitator will pose a generic question and then go around the table for each participant to respond. You will learn as time goes on more about your new friends. Connections allows for greater sharing around the table in a respectful, kind environment rather just having the opportunity to talk to one or two people sitting next to you during a lunch/dinner event.

We will have regular Connections MeetUps starting with space for 8 participants.
NON-MEMBERS of the Elks Club will need to bring CASH if they wish to order beverages/food as non-members are not allowed to pay with a card. Plan for 25% above the menu price, the Elks always adds a 18% mandatory tip and sales tax is 4.5%. If we round up to 25% that gives the waitstaff a bit extra.

STRICT TIME REQUIREMENTS: START TIME 2:30 PM, END TIME 4:00 PM.
THE HOST WILL MEET YOU IN THE CLUB LOBBY AND ENTER YOUR FIRST NAME INTO THE GUEST BOOK.

This type of event, although new to Hawaii, has proved to be very successful elsewhere in that participants have found others with common interests and have developed long lasting friendships.

Parking: Non-Members are not allowed to park in the parking lot unless you buy a one day parking pass from the front desk which is $10. There is Street Parking along Kapiolani Park by Club. The parking meters accept credit cards and I think the rate is still 50 cents per hour.

It's very important that if you sign up you commit to coming. If you're not able to come give as much advance notice as possible (change your RSVP to "not going") so that someone else has time to take your place.
