We are meeting and eating at 4:30 pm, in the "Kayak Cafe" for our February book discussion.
Note: If you would like to attend this event please be willing to share your choice book recommendation for future book discussions. We like to share different genres and authors with each other. You would be able to present your favorite book to the group.
This months book club choice is:
" Moloka'i" By, Alan Brennert
Alan Brennert wrote: "Honolulu", Moloka'i"**, and "Daughter of Moloka'i", all three books based on true historical events that happened in Hawaii. You may enjoy reading all three in that order. However, we will focus our February discussion on the book "Moloka'i".
"Moloka'i" follows a story about a little seven year old girl, Rachel Kalama, who is taken from her home and is sent to Kalaupapa, the quarantined leprosy settlement on the island of Moloka'a. Here her life is supposed to end but instead she discovers it is only the begining.
