Book Club: "Foster", by Claire Keegan

Please read this carefully. Please be prompt, as we begin gathering around 3:15 outside ground level by the benches in front of the stores just after you get out of the elevators, but leave promptly at 3:30 to walk to Anna's building together, which is across the street.

This month we will discussing the book "Foster" but also screening the film "The Quiet Girl" together, which was based upon the book "Foster" we are to read. After the film screening we will have our book discussion comparing the book "Foster" to the film "The Quiet Girl".

Note: This is a private event invite only at someone's condominium**, space is limited.**

If you are interested you will put on a waitlist and notified when space becomes available.

We will park in the Ward Village parking area, but gather and meet at 3:30 in front of the stores TJ Maxx ground level, on Auhai Street and Queen Street intersection. Then walk together at 3:30 to the condos' meeting room.

After our book club discussion we will go out to dinner somewhere together!

Note: If you would like to attend this event please be willing to share your choice book recommendation for future book discussions. We like to share different genres and authors with each other. You would be able to present your favorite book to the group.

This months book club choice is: "Foster", by Claire Keegan, but we all also be screening the file, "The Quiet Girl" for 1 hour and 30 min. prior to our book discussion to compare the short book "Foster" to the film "The Quiet Girl", based on the book.

It is a hot summer in rural Ireland. A child is taken by her father to live with relatives on a farm, not knowing when or if she will ever return home. In the Kinsellas' house she finds the affection and warmth she has not known, and slowly in their care she blossoms.But their is something unspoken in this household,,and the summer must come to an end.
