The first 20 mins is a message or lesson from one of the Zen Masters given in a story telling style and quotes from the Tao Te Ching to help prepare the body mind and spirit to move more into a Buddha like mindfulness. It takes time to settle the body from our scattered life styles. Then we move into simple Hatha Yoga for 25 minutes, which is the basis of all yoga. We practice breathe work, pranayama and prepare for meditation and healing at the end in savasana for the last 15 minutes. I merely use simple Hatha Yoga principles as a medium to help you stand in your own strength. Enabling you to undo the obstacles and embrace a positive self. Hatha is translated as Ha meaning Sun and Tha meaning moon, bringing the masculine and feminine energies back into harmony again. My purpose is to help you find your Zen, your way. Follow the beat of your own drum, relax, renew, regenerate your body, mind and spirit. Live a happy, healthy, and whole life.
This class is suitable for all levels of practitioner, from beginner to advanced. Modifications will be given to allow beginning yogis to build a strong foundation and for more advanced yogis to expand their practice and asana expression.
