This is a "choose your own adventure" style immersive theatre event. The venue recommends that members of a group enter through different doors so they each have an individual experience and can discuss it afterwards.

Cost: I currently have a discount code so tickets will be $53 (inc booking fee). We'll need to book soon as discounted tickets are limited.
If you respond too late for the discount, full price is $103 (inc bf).

Tickets are non refundable, per venue policy. However you may on-sell your ticket if your circumstance change.

Building on the landmark success of Because The Night (2021), Malthouse Theatre ambitiously realises Australia’s next chapter of large-scale immersive theatre. Hour of the Wolf introduces you to Hope Hill, a town that is yours to freely explore on the longest night of the year. Interweaving stories unravel the disturbing disappearances occurring between the hours of 3am and 4am. Choose which of the ten characters to follow, pick left or right at the end of every scene, and trace this night from different points of view.

Immerse in the stories and indulge your curiosity by venturing off the path to solve side quests that unearth the history of the town - it might take you one step closer to meeting the myth herself.

Unlock the Hour of the Wolf.

Before you enter the world of Hour of the Wolf, you will be given a headset to be worn during the performance. The headsets will guide you through the performance as you walk freely around the sets, finding places to sit or stand and watch the actors.

At the end of each scene, you will be invited to choose to follow one of the performers out of the room into another. Following a different performer will allow you to follow a different storyline. There is no correct order. If you want to follow a particular character's storyline, stick with them. If you feel like leaving the narrative path altogether, you can.

Each character's journey will repeat three times over the duration of the performance, inviting you to go back to the beginning and make different choices each time about which performers and storylines to follow. You can follow a different path and witness the events that occur in Hope Hill from another perspective.

There are two additional storylines and further history hidden behind puzzles in the sets. These puzzles are experiences designed to be enjoyed by an individual audience member and will only be active when a scene is not being performed in a room.
