Paul Mitchell is a very accomplished trumpet and flugel horn player who has played extensively in the region (and the Jazz Room since its inception) and has toured throughout North America. Paul has made his living as a Professional Musician for the past 25 years and is a well established musician in the Canadian Music scene.
He has been in the pit for many Drayton musicals and will be playing in a musical production of Disney’s “Frozen” at Theatre Aquarius in Hamilton this fall. He has performed many dates in Canada and the US with a variety of Tribute Bands featuring the works of Abba/Bee Gees (Centre In the Square January 24, 2026) Billy Joel, Elton John and Rod Stewart as well with his Steely Dan cover band called, “Pretzel Logic”
His show will surface some of the gems from some of the best trumpet players from the mid ’40s to the mid ’50s including Miles Davis, Chet Baker, Dizzy Gillespie and Freddie Hubbard.
Paul has assembled a dedicated cast of top Canadian jazz musicians. Come join us for a night of Bebop, Post Bop, Cool and North American Jazz influenced by Latin and African culture!
