The Finger Lakes Flute Circle will meet Tuesday, May 6, 6:30-8pm.
In addition to playing music together, this month we will learn about flute binding with a hands-on experience using techniques from the recent World Shakuhachi Festival. If you have a cracked bamboo flute, you might try wrapping it in wet towel and placing it in tupperware or a plastic bag overnight to close the crack. Then we can bind it at the meeting.
Location: Pittsford Community Center, Classroom 207
A $5 donation to help defray MeetUp fees is requested.
Beginners are encouraged and welcome. There will be beginner flutes available to try out. Bring your Native American flutes and World flutes, and hand percussion and drums to the meeting! We will make great music together!
