Join us for this example led walkthrough of various use cases around Apache Zeppelin Notebook for productivity engineering for big data processes using Scala and Spark. Together we will go through an example led presentation showing how you can efficiently use your IDE + The Zeppelin notebook to develop big data processes, create feature vectors for ML, Visualize your results in your IDE and in the Notebook at the same time.
This is an example led session and code samples will be shared on GIT Hub so you can repeat the experiments on your own :) .

About the Presenters
Matthew Gillett, is a Senior Software Development Engineer in Test who is leading the quality assurance engineering for a few projects at FINRA. His work deals with automated data validation and data related application testing. His interests include efficient data comparison and learning new technologies. Matthew received a B.S. in Computer Science and Mathematics in 2009.
Ahmed Ibrahim, a Principal Architect at FINRA in assurance engineering. In his role, Ahmed is responsible for the architecture of assurance processes for market surveillance projects. His work relates to big data analytics and machine learning based market manipulation detection. In his previous work, Ahmed architected solutions for enterprise systems for multiple international trade facilitation systems and national security systems. His interests include graph analysis and visual intelligence led investigation techniques. Ahmed received a B.Sc. in Electrical Computer Engineering in 2001.
