Disruptive Fintech - Introduction to blockchain 2.0

Financial technology is innovating and disrupting in an expanding number of areas in the financial sector. The blockchain technology is often recognized as one of the first truly disruptive ideas in many local and international media coverage. Nxt Bnk KL is hosting a special session with Lon Wong, a serial entrepreneur, founder and CEO of Dragonfly Fintech Pte Ltd., a Singapore incorporated company to introduce and share with you about this disruptive technology - Blockchain 2.0. This is an event organized and supported by NEM (Open Source Group).

Speaker Profile
A serial technopreneur, Lon is the founder and CEO of Dragonfly Fintech Pte Ltd., a Singapore incorporated company. He has more than thirty years in starting up and managing businesses from Engineering consultancy to software applications, Internet, and ISP businesses. He built and sold some of these businesses, including a dot com business that is still in existence today.

Lon is the inventor of a patent-pending FinTech business method that could be used for payment, clearing, settlement, and mobile payments using blockchain technology, a business that he has been building for close to 3 years. He is part of the strategic team to build the NEM open source blockchain technology platform and has been instrumental specifically in the use case design for the financial industry. The blockchain platform has been running for close to two years in the open without any major failure.
