April Meetup - Introductions

Hello everyone, welcome to the first financial technology group in Toronto - and the first meetup for that group.

This first meetup will be more informal than the ones moving forward. It will be a chance for everyone to meet for the first time, exchange background information, and generally get to know the group.

We will also have a quick discussion about the meetup framework moving forward, some thoughts include:

-per meetup, one speaker (sellside/buyside, venture, start-up, legal/marketing/PR)

-per meetup, one to two companies pitching/presenting ideas (problems, new ideas, new ventures, industry trends)

-occasional panel discussions (topic TBD)

The important thing is to limit the amount of time spent on 'formal' discussions - let's keep it more informal, and limit the structured part to the first 20-30 minutes of the meetup, to allow enough time for conversation and networking.
