FOCUS: How to Get Started in Residential Care Facilities for the Elderly in CA

This month’s Focus session features Boris and Amanda, owners and operators of a Residential Care Facility for the Elderly (RCFE) business in California. They’ll start with a short presentation on their business, followed by an interview-style session breaking down what it really takes to acquire, license, and operate an RCFE in California—based on real-world experience, not theory.

As their presence grew on social media, Boris and Amanda began receiving frequent requests to mentor aspiring owners on how to open and run their first facility. In response, they created the Palomino Senior Living Academy, a comprehensive training program designed to teach students how to build compliant, sustainable senior care businesses while helping raise the standard of care for California’s aging population
