Led by Ryan Johnson, join the Chehalis Land Trust Team to plant baby trees along the river at Discovery Trail to help support the reinvigoration of this critical habitat!

Work will include removing invasive thistles, invasive canary grass, scouting tree locations, learning tree species, digging, and planting saplings of mixed species.

Where should I park?
The gate will be open so you may drive in along the curved road and park next to the big red barn. Make sure you have to correct directions! Folks who RSVP will be mailed a message with detailed directions.

How will I find the group?
We’ll meet next to the old red barn under the covered area with benches! This can be found by driving through the trailhead gate and winding along the gravel road. The land trust will add signage to help the flow of cars.

What should I bring on this outing?

  • Comfortable footwear
  • Layers for rain and various weather conditions to stay cozy
  • Water, beverages and/or snacks
  • An extra shovel or pruning shears if you’ve got them

This event is free and open to the public! All ages are welcome, but children in attendance must be accompanied by an adult or parent.
