Coastal Hike, Forage and Beach Sunset at the Stunning Gower, South Wales.

🔸 Date: Thursday 10th February.
🔸 Time: 14:00 start (arrive early to allow time for parking). Finish around 6pm.
🔸 Difficulty: Easy/moderate. Mostly flat but we'll also walk up to Pennard Castle on the hill, and it is sandy/muddy underfoot.
🔸 Dog Friendly.
🔸 Cost: FREE!

We're excited to announce this afternoon beach walk and sunset adventure at the stunningly beautiful Three Cliffs Bay on the Gower Peninsular in South Wales!

We'll take a walk through some woodland and into a wonderful valley, before heading up the hill to Pennard Castle and back down to the beach. We're planning on having a fire and a brew at the beach, if we can get away with it! Then watch the sunset before heading back.

Here are some of the highlights of this adventure:

🔹 A walk through woodland, up to a ruined 12th Century castle and along clifftops and down to a lovely beach.
🔹 Some foraging for wild foods along the way.
🔹 Beach fire and a brew (bring a mug and some extra water, we'll bring the coffee!).
🔹 Stunning views, winter sunset and great company!

Extra notes:

🔹 Parking: we'll meet at the Gower Heritage Centre, Parkmill. You can park and pay at the Heritage Centre (£4 for the day) or there's Shepherds Cafe on the way in that offers parking for £3 per day.
🔹 Headtorches recommended for the walk back.
🔹 Please dress for the weather, bring waterproofs and wear good walking boots/shoes; it'll be potentially slippery in places.
🔹 Bring any food and drink to keep you going, and we recommend a small rucksack to stow things in.
