Join us for a thoughtful, open-ended discussion exploring why humans tend to divide the world into “us” and “them.” Drawing on ideas from biology, psychology, history, and moral traditions, we’ll reflect on how group identities form, how biases can emerge, and how they are shaped by our environments and experiences.

This is not a debate, but a space to share perspectives, listen to others, and sit with complex questions—without the need to reach a single answer.

The format will be as follow:

1. Explore together the topic for about 20~30 minutes

2. Continue the conversation as we are having dinner

  • The event is FREE
  • Anyone is welcome
  • Every one pays for what they order (~2000円)
  • The restaurant provides vegetarian/vegan options
  • There is no need to prepare in advance
  • Study materials will be provided
  • Intermediate English level is enough
