What we’re about
If you never bother with an alarm clock, you may already be a member. For all you early birds, this is a chance to flock before the sun rises. At that hour, we’ve got the stations, streets and city all to ourselves.
We’ll ring the first temple bells, launch the first fishing fleet, and of course, sample the first pastries, fresh out of the oven. Come enjoy attractions that are just rumors to the sleeping city. Naturally, we'll visit the famous 5 am tuna auction and early morning sumo practice. After that, we leave with the fighters and fisherman in search of the 6 am onsen, hidden in the center of town. Then on the 23rd of the lunar month, we'll be waiting with villagers at the shukaijo, watching for the moon to appear.
In winter, ours are the first tracks in the snow. In summer, we're the ones out early enough to beat the heat. Ohio gozaimas!
