Getting to Know Me
1. Who are some of the people who have influenced your faith the most? What qualities or practices have you inherited from them?
2. When you think back over your life, what church communities or faith experiences have shaped the way you follow Jesus today?
3. What helps you “rekindle” your faith when it starts to fade or feel routine?
Into the Bible
4. In 2 Timothy 1:3–14, Paul urges Timothy to “rekindle the gift of God that is within you.” What do you think that means in practical terms?
5. Paul contrasts a “spirit of cowardice” with one “of power, love, and self-discipline.” How do you see those three qualities working together in the Christian life?
6. Paul wrote this letter from prison, yet his words overflow with confidence and hope. What does that teach us about how God works in times of weakness or struggle?
Application
7. When you look at the challenges facing the church or world today, where are you tempted toward despair—and how might Paul’s encouragement to Timothy speak to that?
8. What would it look like for you personally to “rekindle your faith” this week? Are there specific practices, people, or opportunities that could help?
9. How can our church community continue passing faith to the next generation like Lois and Eunice did for Timothy?
10.Where might God be calling you to take a “big step of faith” right now, trusting in His power, love, and discipline rather than fear or comfort?
