Getting to Know Me

  1. The pastor shared about finding joy and purpose in ministry after trying other jobs. Can you relate to a time when you realized what you were “made for”?
  2. Who are some of the “saints” in your own life—family, friends, or mentors—who helped you grow in faith or discover your calling?
  3. When you think about your identity today, what roles (parent, friend, worker, volunteer, etc.) most shape how you see yourself?

Into the Bible
4. Read Ephesians 1:4–5. What stands out to you about being chosen by God before the foundation of the world and adopted as His children?
5. The sermon said that being “holy” means being a saint—someone set apart for God. How does this biblical definition of “saint” compare with how our culture usually uses that word?
6. According to Ephesians 1:10, God’s plan is to “gather all things in Christ.” What does this reveal about God’s heart and purpose for the world?
7. Think about how Paul connects identity and mission in this passage. How does understanding who we are in Christ shape what we do?

Application
8. If you truly believed that God chose and delights in you, what difference might that make in how you approach your daily life, relationships, or work?
9. The sermon challenged us to see our lives through a “saint filter.” What would it look like for you to act, speak, or serve as a saint in your ordinary routines?
10. How can we, as a small group or church, continue the work of the saints—gathering others to experience God’s love and grace?
