Into the Bible
-
In John 20, why do you think Jesus responds to the disciples’ fear first by offering peace and the Holy Spirit? What does that reveal about God’s priorities?
-
Thomas is often labeled as “doubting,” but what might his request actually reveal about his faith or desire to believe?
-
Jesus says, “Blessed are those who have not seen and yet have come to believe.” What do you think this means for believers today who don’t have physical proof?
-
The sermon suggested that in John’s Gospel, sin can mean “not knowing Jesus.” How does this reshape your understanding of forgiveness and mission?
Application
-
Where in your life right now do you most need Jesus to meet you—fear, doubt, or something else? What might it look like to receive his peace in that place?
-
What are some ways you have experienced God’s presence (answered prayer, peace in hardship, etc.)? How comfortable are you sharing those stories with others?
-
How can you actively live out being “equipped for the journey” this week—through peace, the Holy Spirit, Scripture, or sharing your testimony?
