About us
First Wave Fundamentals Surf Social Club is for anyone who wants to get more comfortable in the water, whether you’ve never touched a surfboard or you’ve been out a few times and still feel like you’re guessing. We focus on the basics: reading conditions, ocean safety, paddling, positioning, pop-ups, and surf etiquette, with plenty of time to ask questions and practice at your own pace. No experience or fancy gear is expected, and we’ll share details about what to bring and where to meet before each session.
Just as important, this is a social club. We want surfing to feel less intimidating and more fun, so expect relaxed meetups, patient encouragement, and a chance to get to know other people who are learning too. Some gatherings may be beach walks, beginner-friendly surf sessions, or casual chats over coffee after time in the water. Come as you are, be respectful of the ocean and each other, and let’s build confidence one wave at a time.
