What we’re about
Remember when your only ride was a bike, your helmet luck, and your plans pure chaos? Welcome to The Gen X Social Club — for those who grew up wild, weird, and happily feral (while avoiding being seen OR heard.)
Our goal is simple: reconnect with that free-range spirit — and find others who still remember how it felt to be weeds growing through cracked pavement; finding joy and life where we could. We will do all kinds of stuff.. but we will not, “feel old” and sit in our homes isolated and well-behaved.
Who We’re Hoping to Meet:
If you were born roughly between 1965 and 1980, carry a little bit of teenage rebellion in your soul, and still get a little misty-eyed thinking about mixtapes, arcades, or Saturday morning cartoons, this group is for you. Whether you’re feeling nostalgic, looking for new friends, or just want to be around people who get it — you’re welcome here.
What We’ll Do at Events:
• Watch classic Gen X movies (think The Breakfast Club, Heathers, Ferris Bueller’s Day Off)
• Go roller skating, bowling, biking — anything that taps into our 70’s/80’s kid roots
• Host discussions on Gen X culture, history, and life now (because someone has to keep it real)
• Occasional “just hang out” socials at local dive bars, coffee shops, or parks
This is a low-pressure, low-drama, high-fun group. We’re not here to impress anyone — just to connect, play, and remember what it’s like to live a little off the leash.
Come as you are — mildly unhinged, shockingly adult, and gloriously Gen X.
