Swing Dancing with Live Music at The Fed

The Austin Swing Syndicate holds one of the longest running and best attended weekly swing dances in the country. Since 1999 the Thursday night dance at the Texas Federation of Women’s Clubs
consistently draws 200+ people each week. This is an opportunity to dance in the grand ballroom of the mansion also known as “The Fed”, considered to be the home of Austin swing dancing. New people learn to swing dance here every week at lessons taught by instructors from Four on the Floor and Go Dance.
8:00 to 9:00: Intermediate Swing OR
8:15 to 9:00 PM: Intro to Swing lesson
9:00 to 12:00 PM: Dancing to one of Austin’s finest swing bands,
Dan Walton & The Night Owls!
You do not need a partner as it's social and everyone rotates in class.
Entry at the door is $20 and covers your class and dancing until you drop, or midnite, whichever comes first!

The wonderful management of the Texas Federation of Women’s Clubs Headquarters, TFWC Mansion, has provided us with a parking garage down the street from the venue. The parking garage is FREE to all our attendees. No code required!
The parking garage is located under the building at 2401 Longview Street, but NOTE the entrance to the garage is in the ALLEY between Longview and Leon St down the ramp on the west side of the alley. Again the entrance is not on Longview street nor Leon street but off the ALLEY that runs between them. Limited street parking may also be available near The Fed.
