ATTENTION We have expanded our purpose, to include a social arena for those 60 yrs and above. This will include gatherings for brunches, dinners, and other activities. Stay tuned for announcements.
Now for the non-fun stuff. 2 'no-shows' after RSVPing for an event will be cause for membership removal. Please cancel your 'Going' intention to 'not Going' a minimum 48 hours before the event. Cancelling 12 hours or less before an event is not looked upon very well either. I realize life happens, and last minute emergencies along with other things like work and such do occur, but 3 times it becomes an obvious pattern, and your membership may be terminated. Please be sure of your personal schedule before deciding to join an event.
Out Mission Statement- Let’s get together and work a little morning fitness and strength into our lives. Resistance work and walking, and other workout stuff in between. Get togethers at various parks in the Valley. The ones I have in mind are Bee Canyon (Granada Hills), Dearborn Park (Northridge), Holleigh Berson Memorial Park (Porter Ranch), Balboa Park (Encino), and Warner Center Park (Woodland Hills). Suggestions are welcome, criteria is a site with grass, shade, and restroom facilities. Workout at your own level, pace, intensity, and ability. No judgement, only support. Must be 55 yo or older. Welcome to bring a guest or 3. Will be collecting $2 from each attendee. Some events may include a breakfast or brunch afterward, at an establishment nearby the event. Get to know one another in a relaxed environment. And above all, please please have fun!!!!!!
Sometimes, however being outdoors we’re at the mercy of none other than Ms Mother Nature. Rain or heavy drizzle, high wind, or other conditions which may present hazardous workout space or traveling situations will cancel the event, and will be rescheduled at another date. I will assess the weather conditions the day before the event and make a decision of Go or No, and pass that info onto our members.
