Conversational Matching: How to turn your chat bot into a Search Engine

Fiverr NEO is our Chat Search Engine. It helps users find the right freelancer by letting them describe their needs, asking guiding questions, and presenting a few extremely relevant options. In this talk, we will describe how we built Fiverr NEO’s Hybrid Search engine, which combines both Semantic Search and Keyword Search, along with GenAI methods. These methods extract relevant keywords, classify the user’s intent, formulate informative questions, and build high-quality embeddings for a perfect match. We will also discuss how we evaluated NEO’s relevance and how we test and monitor it in production using both qualitative and quantitative metrics.
