XYZ Night - CAD and 3D Printing Social (and Public Open Night)
Hosted by fizzPOP - Birmingham's Makerspace
Details
This Wednesday we are testing the reintroduction of XYZ night - an evening of computer aided design, milling machines, laser cutters, 3D printers, and anything else that sips g-code.
In addition to the usual tools all members can enjoy, Jesse is bringing in his pen plotter to show off what a robot arm can do with two axes of movement. He will be introducing it to anyone that's interested.
Everyone welcome - from beginners to advanced. If you ever wanted to get started with digital manufacturing this is a great opportunity to start*.
fizzPOP has a well-stocked digital manufacturing room and some great spaces to crack out your laptop, so if you're not a member then this is a great time to pop down and check it out - and if you are a member, this is a great chance to get cracking with all the tools and equipment.
See you there!
*we have some very helpful members, and welcome people of all skill levels - but this is not an organised event, we cannot commit to formal teaching, and we probably won't build your project for you (yes, people have asked)! This is a themed social event; please calibrate your expectations accordingly, and look forward to a great night!
