About Maika
Meet Maika, a passionate flamenco and Spanish dance teacher with over 18 years of international experience. Born and raised in Madrid, Maika’s journey in dance began at the age of nine, studying ballet and Spanish dance at renowned institutions like the Karen Taft Dance Academy and Flamenco Centre “Amor de Dios.”
Her credentials include:

• A degree in Spanish Dance from the Conservatory of Dance in Madrid.
• Certification in Teaching Methodology Applied to Spanish Dance.
• Leadership and Management of Cultural Projects Master’s Degree from Rey Juan Carlos University.

Maika’s career has taken her to Spain, the USA, Mexico, Canada, and the UK, sharing her passion for flamenco and building cultural bridges. Her teaching philosophy focuses on unlocking every student's natural ability and showing how delightful and transformative Spanish dance can be.
