Castanets Course with Maika – Rhythm, Music & Sevillanas

Would you like to discover the joy of playing castanets? Join me at Danceworks for five Sunday mornings of music, rhythm and learning together!

We will build our skills step by step, exploring:
• How to hold and play the castanets
• Finger technique and clear sounds
• Rhythm and coordination between both hands
• Castanet toques to accompany Sevillanas
• Arm movements and simple movement sequences

Beginners and those wishing to strengthen their foundations are welcome. Exercises will be adapted to different levels, helping you develop confidence at your own pace.

Come on your own or with a friend and enjoy learning in a friendly, supportive atmosphere.

Sundays, 15 November–13 December 2026
