Sevillanas with Maika – Beginners Levels 1 & 2

Fancy learning one of Spain’s most joyful social dances? Join me for five Thursday evenings of Sevillanas at Danceworks!

This friendly course welcomes complete beginners and those who have already learnt some Sevillanas and would like to build confidence.

Together, we will explore:
• Steps and the structure of the four coplas
• Rhythm, timing and coordination
• Posture and expressive arm movements
• Turns and partner work
• Bringing the steps together with music

We will work step by step, with guidance adapted to different levels. Come on your own or with a friend — no partner is needed!
