Come watch Monkey Kingdom to see off the Year of the Monkey

Having sent off the post-truths of 2016, we're about to send off the Year of Monkey, which is meant to be a year of intelligence and wit. Whether or not the year has lived up to your expectations, we invite you to watch Monkey Kingdom, a Disney Nature documentary showing just how similarly monkey societies operate to our own.

The documentary, which will be screened with English and Chinese subtitles, follows a female monkey and her newborn baby as they struggle through their kingdom in the jungles of Sri Lanka. We witness their hierarchies and power struggles, inequalities and banishments, and their attitudes towards outsiders, parenthood, and the changing future. Sound familiar?
