What we’re about
NEW ORLEANS FRENCH LANGUAGE MEETUP GROUP : A pleasant opportunity to meet local people who share an appreciation for the French language and culture. We welcome all ages and all speaking levels.
Even if you have given up ever mastering French, this meetup group might be for you and gladly welcomes you. Ultimately we are about community. Truly. Some active Members have been with us for several years. Some members learned some French in their youth but then stopped using it for decades -- now they join us and it's amazing how easily their knowledge of French comes back.
Some meetups are simply informal discussions welcoming all levels of proficiency. It is OK to only listen. Other meetups have a theme or may require a certain amount of reading before the discussion. We also watch and discuss -- typically in English -- French-speaking films with subtitles.
You must RSVP at this site before showing up to any meetup.
If you are having trouble managing your app or your French meetup Profile page, then falling back on using the desktop version of meetup.com can help (desktop, laptop, etc., or opting for the desktop version on your cellphone).

Oh darling, how I long that you may fulfil your promise ... Our own little room, our own furniture, a library of our own, quiet and regular work, walks together, an opera from time to time, a small -- very small -- circle of intimate friends ... And perhaps even a little, very little, baby?
