WELCOME to FLOAT IDAHO!! We are one of the premier paddling clubs in Idaho. Our group is comprised of passionate paddlers who enjoy being on the water deeply. We enjoy the great outdoors while being mindful of the environment and other recreationalists. We enjoy testing our skills from time to time and the best part…we know almost every place to paddle within 3 hours of Boise!
We are NOT a bunch of Bacchanalian party people who go out for a day or weekend to create river mischief and we don’t do difficult class 3+ to 5 white water. Our wheelhouse is class 1 to 3- water suitable for kayaks, rafts, canoes, paddleboards. Further, we ARE a group (not guides, mind you) of individuals with experienced event leaders who simply love to paddle and show members where all the great water is.
Our goal…we want safe, fun and memorable experiences for our members. And for many of us, this activity is not just for fun, but in many ways the water, and floating rivers and lakes actually defines us. In fact, to some of us, waking up in late March from the long winter in anticipation of the paddling season, is actually a “calling”. So come along, share our passion, build some great memories and request to join today!
