Horseshoe Bend to Montour Bridge

We will meet up in the Winco Parking Lot at 9:30 to carpool to the Horseshoe Bend Fish Ladder, shuttle vehicles down to the take out at Montour Road Bridge, and return to the Fish Ladder to start the trip (~12 miles, 17 minutes).

This will be a ~9-10 mile float with Class 1-2 waves and ripples, rock gardens, and shoals. Suitable for hardshell kayaks, good/decent quality inflatable kayaks (IK's) and SUP's (if you are experienced and are ready to go 9 miles). Please do not bring flimsy, single-wall IK's. This trip is not for beginners. Flow rate is expected to be modest at ~2500 CFS but hard to predict right now.

We will unload boats and gear at the Put-in then shuttle vehicles down to the take-out at Montour Road Bridge.

Bring your lunch for a stop during the paddle.

**Please be courteous and cancel if you are not coming so others can attend and so we do not have to wait at the carpool location. We all have phones so can check even at the last minute.

DIRECTIONS TO PUT-IN: Turn RIGHT on Pioneer Road (before Locking Horns Restaurant) and follow the road 3/4 mile and turn left onto dirt road for parking area (GPS: Fish Ladder). Porta-potty is available at PUT-IN.
