Cascade to Cabarton

Details

Come join a group of friendly kayakers Friday morning, July 11th, for the Cascade to Cabarton float. This is a fabulous long, leisurely and scenic float suitable for canoes, kayaks, and SUPs (please no pool toys or flimsy inflatables). The 9-mile float will be at least 3+ hrs. You must bring and wear your life jacket while on the water.Bring lots of water and your packed lunch as we will stop for lunch during the trip. This is a good trip for Beginners and SUP's because it is an easy Class 1 Trip.

We will meet at Winco in Eagle (see map) at 9:15 a.m. to get boats and people ready to leave by 9:30. The first stop will be at THE PUT IN NOT THE TAKE OUT. We will unload people, boats, and gear at the put in and then shuttle vehicles to the take out at Carbarton Bridge. See map below.

For the PUT IN : As you are entering Cascade you cross the Payette River and just on the other side of the bridge take a right into the park. Drive back towards the river and park. The best place to park is under the bridge to keep your car cool during the day.
