Exploring Robie Creek

Details
***BEGINNER EARLY MORNING SCENIC FLOAT***
Lucky Peak Reservoir is still full, but let's visit Robie Creek one more time before the water disappears!
Are you new to kayaking, paddle boarding, canoeing? Did you just get a new boat and would like to try it in the company of other group members? Then this float is for you!!! You can work as hard as you like or just float and chill. Fishing is optional.
---LIMITING THE GROUP TO 12 PARTICIPANTS---
Meet at Robie Creek Park at the concrete boat ramp / floating dock / pit toilet at 8:45 am. Unload at the boat ramp and move your vehicle to the designated parking area.
We'll paddle to the left of the boat ramp (east) for ~3/4 mile before rocks/shallow water make us turn around. This section is popular because motorized boaters are unable to pass the low bridge over the creek.
We'll then paddle to the right (west) to see more scenery, jumping fish, and the campgrounds accessible only by boats that put in at Lucky Peak SP. Be aware that you may see motorized boats in this area. Be aware that when you pass the 'no-wake-zone', you may encounter wakes created by motorboats. Turn your kayak at a right angle, pointed at the oncoming wake wave.
Bring a lunch or snacks and we can paddle to Robie Creek Park to find a beautiful spot to stop, eat, and socialize. Robie Creek Park, adjacent to the boat ramp, has a grassy area, swimming area, and separate small parking lot.
NOTE: All attendees must be Float Idaho members, must wear a life jacket, and carry a whistle.
DIRECTIONS: Use GPS and enter "Robie Creek Park, Robie Creek Road, Boise". From Highway 21, take the hairpin turn left onto Robie Creek Road. Drive another 2.3 miles on asphalt-paved road to Robie Creek Boat Ramp. Unload near the boat ramp and then move vehicle to the designated parking area.
