What we’re about
Do you love, or want to get started, floating Idaho’s rivers and lakes in kayaks, canoes, and anything else that floats by paddle power? Our meetup group will get together to share adventure, knowledge, friendship and experiences on the water. We will search out peaceful, quiet lakes and rivers, along with rapids up to class III. We will assist beginners to learn the sport, schedule your favorite places to paddle, and provide a challenge to those wishing to expand their skills. We will explore the Boise, Payette, and Snake rivers and any other location you might suggest. There will be one-day and weekend getaways - all to make friends and have fun. Join us and get acquainted.

See all- Boise River - Star Road to Lansing LaneNeeds location
This is an easy Class 1 float on the Boise River from the Star Road Bridge down to the Lansing Lane Sportsman's Access ~7 miles.
We will meet at the put-in which is a rough gravel parking area on the North Side of the Star Road Bridge in Star Idaho. We will unload boats and gear and drive some shuttle vehicles down to the take-out which is at Lansing Lane ~4.1 miles West of Star Road, Middleton. Then we will all return to the Put-In and launch as a group.
This trip is suitable for hardshells, IK's, and SUP's. There may be strainers/trees to avoid, rocks, shoals and other hazards.
Be sure to have a PFD, Whistle, Water, and 2025 Invasive Species Sticker.
The parking area at the put-in is located on the North side of the River near where Main Street intersects Star Road. You can either park on the concrete on Main Street or drive onto the rough gravel access road to the river ~200 yards away.
This is a fairly fast trip so we should be done by ~1 PM. Bathrooms near put-in at Star Riverwalk Park.
Please see Map in Photos. The Put In has a rough parking area and access road which requires High Clearance Vehicles but there is parking for cars only 200 yards away and we can portage the boats to the put in. The river should be flowing ~900 CFS but their may be rocks in the water at the put in. Weather should be nice and sunny 75-85F.
