UPDATED from the previously planned Lynches River Paddle - water levels on Lynches are a little low and afternoon thunderstorms mean we'll do a short paddle! See below for details!
This trip, we're planning to paddle downstream on the Little Pee Dee. We'll enjoy paddling and taking breaks on the beautiful sand bars of the river. We'll start at Locust Tree Landing a take out at White Oak Rd landing. Please read below for details!
The cypress-tupelo swamps of the Little Pee Dee floodplain are magnificent and paddling on the blackwater is the best way to experience it. The summertime offers lower water levels with sand bars to enjoy!
The paddle will entail 3-4 hours on the water with added stops for breaks for lunch and stretching our legs on the banks of the river. Please pack appropriate paddling equipment, lunch, water, a towel, and a required PFD.
Our group will meet at the Hotspot travel center promptly at 8:00am to meet up before heading to Locust Tree. Please use the address detailed below to meet us at the Hot Spot.
