A hike at Costa Da Lagoa guided by a travel guide who will tell you many fantastic stories about the Island of Santa Catarina.

MEETING POINT
Rua João Henrique Gonçalves, 1736, Lagoa da Conceição. The last bus stop before the hike, at Canto dos Araçás.
WHAT TIME?
Sunday, June 4th, from 10am to 1pm
LANGUAGE
English. It is fit for intermediate level or above. The Brazilian tour guide is an English teacher and speaks slowly so everyone can understand.
HOW IS IT?
We will meet at 10am where our crew will give the general instructions. From there, we will start our walk towards the entrance of the trail. Around 1pm we will reach Costa da Lagoa's waterfall where we may cool down to prepare for lunch at a cozy traditional restaurant. We have a special deal for groups that includes lunch and the boat ride back to Canto dos Araças for a very reasonable price.
WHAT WILL WE TALK ABOUT?
We will cover history, culture, nature and literature with a special focus on Franklin Cascaes, the father of Santa Catarina's mythology.

WHAT IS THE PRICE?
It is a free hiking tour, but we work with a PAY-WHAT-YOU-WISH system.
At the same time we need to get money for our work, we understand that if we work with a fixed price, it will limit the access of many people who would love to participate. So we accept, 10, 20, 30 reais or as much as you think you can pay or as much you think our work is worth.

Easy
IS THERE A LIMIT OF ATTENDANCE?
Yes. Maximum of 15 Brazilians and 15 Foreigners. The idea is to put the Brazilians together with the foreigners so we can have a cultural and language exchange.
IMPORTANT RECOMMENDATIONS
- Arrive 15 minutes early. We will start at 10 am sharp.
- Wear comfortable hiking clothes and shoes
- Sunscreen
- WATER! At least 1,5 L
- Food – depending on your hunger
- Some cash
- Use the restroom before we head out
- Bring whatever you would bring for a hike
- We have a First Aid Kit, but if you need any special medication you should bring it with you
- Bug repellent
- Swimming suit
- Beach towel (for sitting on the grass)
WHAT IF IT RAINS?
- If the weather forecast indicates heavy rain one day before the event, we will cancel the tour
- If it indicates drizzling, bring your rain coat or buy it from us for R$ 5.

IDIOMA
Inglês. A partir de nível intermediário. O guia é também professor de inglês e fala lentamente para que todos possam compreender.
COMO SERÁ?
Nos encontraremos as 10:00 quando nossa equipe dará as informações gerais. De lá, começaremos nosso passeio em direção à entrada da trilha. As 13:00 chegaremos a cachoeira do centro da Costa da Lagoa, onde nos refrescaremos antes de partir almoçar num bom restaurante nativo. O restaurante oferece um pacote especial para grupos que inclui almoço e o passeio de volta para o Canto dos Araças por um ótimo preço.
SOBRE O QUE FALAREMOS?
Falaremos sobre história, cultura, natureza e literatura com um foco especial em Franklin Cascaes, o pai das Bruxas de Floripa.

É um tour gratuito, mas trabalhamos com um sistema "PAGUE O QUANTO QUISER".
Da mesma maneira que precisamos receber para manter nosso trabalho, também compreendemos que nem todos poderiam pagar se trabalhássemos com um preço definido. Então aceitamos contribuições espontâneas de 10, 20, 30 reais ou o qaunto você puder pagar ou achar que vale nosso trabalho.
