Egmont Key Hike

Hey-o, let's go to Egmont Key for an exploratory hike, ~ unknown miles @ ~ who knows mph. Sight-seeing stops at the historic batteries, lighthouse, and ghost town. Three hours total time on the Key.
Entrance fee ($6 pay-by-plate; $1 Sun Pass holders) to Fort De Soto Park.
Approximately .7 miles after the Florida Sun Pass Toll Plaza, turn right into the parking lot labelled "Boat Ramp" (see pic for reference).
Paid parking ($6 all day, Park Mobile app or onsite kiosk).

PLEASE NOTE: there is no Attendee limit. The capacity of the Ferry (49 guests) will dictate our Group size i.e., do not RSVP until you have your paid and confirmed Ferry Reservation. There is NO NEED to sign up to hold a spot for yourself while you negotiate your intentions, either you have your boarding-pass or you don't.
No restrooms on the Key; bring a lunch or snack, bug-repellant, sun screen, etc. along with your happy attitude and smiles and whatever else you think you may need to survive on the Key for three hours.
Upon return, optional exploration of the Fort De Soto fort and ice cream at Snack Bar and Souvenir Shop next door to the fort ... and, if desirable, we could hike to the North End (~ 2.5mi roundtrip). Another option is to bring your beach gear and relax at the beach.
As per the management, NO GUESTS allowed; please sign up/register as a Member to participate.

Weather can change without notice, bringing lightning, hail, torrential rain, and flooding. You are responsible for your safety and should take whatever precautions you deem necessary.
