BOBBY JONES NATURE TRAIL sunset hike- 3 miles

Details
This is such a great spot at sunset when the birds are roosting for the night. We are going to do this trail in different directions, adding different trails and five offshoots (and off-trails) to make it longer.
The Nature Park at Bobby Jones encompasses 90 acres on the eastern portion of the property and features crushed shell and decommissioned golf cart paths repurposed into walking/bicycling trails around the newly created wetlands teeming with wildlife.
HIKE: The 1.57-mile Eagle Trail is the primary path, with lots of 7 offshoots to add more mileage.
Access to the trails is adjacent to the driving range. The nature park is free and open to the public daily from dawn to dusk. The park will be closed when the golf course is closed. The gate will open when you drive up to it, only going out.
BRING: Bring enough water and snacks for your hike. Best to wear closed-toe shoes. If needed, bring sunscreen, a hat, bug repellent, and anything else you need to make your hike comfortable. We will take small, regular breaks.
IF HEAVY RAINS OCCUR IN THE PRECEDING DAYS, THERE MAY BE WATER TO WADE THROUGH.
The hike will be canceled without notice in heavy rain, lightning, or inclement weather. Please check the local forecast before arriving.
