Details
Who is up for a 7.3-mile hike on a trail loop at Hillsborough River State Park
This is a beautiful place to hike with shade. We might go out to eat afterwards!!
I heard it is now open after the storms! Let's check it out.
Hillsborough River State Park
15402 U.S. 301 North
Thonotosassa FL 33592
open 8 am till sundown.
Admission Fee - $6 per vehicle ($4 per single-occupant vehicle)
There are four hiking trails, which total 7.3 miles. We will hike at a brisk pace, with small breaks along the Hillsborough River. The trails take hikers through a dense, hydric hammock forest, changing elevations. A trail map is available at the ranger station.
- Due to increased rains in spring and summer, seasonal flooding occurs throughout the park. Approximately 25% of Hillsborough River State Park is in lowland areas that are prone to seasonal flooding. These floods are highly unpredictable and may affect your hiking experience.
- Please call the park office at 813-987-6771 prior to your visit for the specific conditions of our trails.
