This 3,760 acre preserve, newly opened in 2015, has over 19 miles of trails, marshes, pine flatwoods, hardwood hammocks and ranchland.

HIKING: we’ll at least do a 5 mile loop could turn out to be 7depending on the direction we go.

ASSUMPTION OF RISK: Possible risks of this activity include Injury from a trip & fall, venomous snakes, stinging insects, venomous spiders, wildlife encounters, heat stroke, noxious vegetation, insect-borne virus and disease, Covid 19, Influenza, and other airborne transmissible conditions. Weather can change without notice, bringing lightning, hail, torrential rain, and possible flooding. You are responsible for your safety and should take whatever precautions you deem necessary.

NOTE: We hike as a group, participants must be able and willing to hike the entire route at a good pace. We cannot allow anyone to try and find their way back to the car alone should they decide they don’t want to continue.

BRING: Bring enough water for your day and snacks. And if needed bring sunscreen, a hat, bug repellent and anything you need to make your hike comfortable. We will take small regular breaks.

IF HEAVY RAINS OCCUR IN THE PRECEDING DAYS, THERE MAY BE WATER TO WADE THROUGH. Hikers, please wear closed-toe shoes.
The hike will be canceled without notice in the event of heavy rain or other inclement weather. Please check the local forecast before arriving.
