Clearwater Beach to Caladesi Island Beach Hike

Hey-o, let's go for a beach hike from Clearwater Beach to the north end of Caladesi Island: ~9 miles roundtrip at ~3mph. Casual, yet constant pace on sand.

Meet up at Parking Lot #36 at 4 Rockaway St, Clearwater, FL.
Public restrooms available at the Clearwater parking lot at start.
Restrooms on Caladesi Island at optional break-stop location.

Bring your credit card for paid hourly parking ($3.25/hr x ~5hrs w/lunch).
Bring State Park Pass or $2 for the Caladesi Island park entrance fee.
Bring other $ if you'd like to stay for lunch at Frenchy's Rockaway Grill which is located right by the parking lot; no need to move your car, but check your meter for time when we return.

Please be prepared with all your own day-hiking beach supplies:
water, snacks, hat, bug repellent, sunscreen, sunglasses, water-shoes, hiking clothes that may get wet, dry clothes for dining afterwards, etc.

Event will cancel upon inclement weather or lack of sufficient interest.
